A question was presented to me the other day, "How much is your soul worth?" This is really quite intriguing if you think about it. We want to think we are priceless, but are we? I mean, everything has a price doesn't it?
So what are we worth? Well guess what, this is a price for us and it's more than we can truly grasp. You see, God understands us and knows how badly we struggle with sin. Our ancestors had made some sacrifices to cover their sin, but it was never good enough to wash away their sin. So God humbled His Spirit and came down in the form of a man named Jesus. Jesus was God's only begotten Son. He was accused of blasphemy, for some failed to believe His lineage, and the punishment instituted upon Him was crucifixion. On that cross, He bore all our sins. God sent His only Son to be the ultimate and oerfect sacrifice. The Lamb of God was slain so that we all could be washed clean. And with that, the price was declared upon you. Not only did God look down and think that the world needs one of you, but that you are worth enough for Him to have His Son sacrificed for you. What greater love and value is there? 1 Corinthians 6:20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in yoir body and in your spirit, which are God's. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
